Dalí influenced outfit

The Tate Modern are showing Dalí’s film collaborations from tomorrow until the 9th sept. Amongst other things the exhibition includes the famous film Un Chien Andalou and the Hollywood slapstick movies that in turn influenced him. I’ve picked out a surreal outfit in an homage to the self-publicising artist, and there’s no better place to start than Martin Margiela where I found the watch bezel bracelet and faux-bra top. I hesitated between a pair of mannish Paul Smith brogues, but eventually plumped for some suitably strange Irregular Choice wedges to add some glamour to the masculine pinstripe trousers. Red lipstick evokes Dalí’s famous red lip sofa and a googly eyed bow adds a dash of humour. False Dalí moustache is of course optional! See after the jump for product links.
