Liz Hurley “Too Mumsy” For Monsoon?
The rumour-mill is in full swing again, this time with reports that Liz Hurley has been dropped as the face of Monsoon for being, of all things, too old and “too mumsy.” Are they having a laugh? The new Mrs Nayer is probably the last woman on the planet guilty of being too old and mumsy, whatever that means. If reports are in fact, true and Hurley’s Monsoon contract will not be renewed then it is probably due to a failure to lift sales rather than anything to do with her image. An update from the company earlier this month revealed a six per cent fall in January sales. I’m more inclined to believe this is the reason. On the bright side, Hurley can rejoice as she’s just been named the UK’s No. 1 Body Idol by NW magazine. Hurley beat out 5,000 other contenders to top the British poll. On a scarier note, Victoria Beckham managed to come in at second place. Huh?
